Are you interested in learning about leadership and contributing voluntary service hours? Applications are going out from March 1st (today) to March 29th for the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) for anyone who wants to join. It is a privilege to be included in this group because you will learn to be kind and give back to the Walter Reed community. If you would like to join the NJHS, you can pick up an application from Ms. Sofio in room 150, near the cafeteria and auditorium. There are a lot of fun things you can do if join the NJHS, such as peanut butter and jelly sandwich projects. Every member is required to do 20 hours of service work, and 5 hours of it must take place at Walter Reed. There will be more information on the morning announcements during the month of March, and also on the school website. There are several meetings you can attend if you are interested, and those dates will also be on the school website. Anyway, it’s a fun organization to be a part of and I hope you think it is, too!
Link to NJHS information is below, and in order to get an application, please see Ms. Sofio in Room 150. Good luck!
