Choose Kindness: Activities

Happy Kindness week, whether you are reading this before, during or after national kindness day(November 13th) it’s a great day to be kind! In this article I will share fun activities to do at home while sharing kindness with friends and family.

Activity one : Kindness Rocks- It might seem odd but it sure is a lot of fun! Things you will need are, a rock of your choice (medium size works best), paint of your choice, and last a paintbrush or something you can spread the paint with. Decorate your rock to your heart's content! Put kind messages on them! Lastly take a walk (with your mask on… safety first) and put your rocks on grass at a park or places that your parents approve of! People will see these fun, kind messages and smile! :)

Activity two : Kindness letter - Choose a family member or friend in which your parents know the address of. Next, create a letter sharing fun stories, drawings and more! Put in an envelope with your name and correct stamps and address, etc. Have your parents help you with the mailing process that way your amazing letter arrives! This is an unexpected act of kindness!

Activity three : Kindness drawing - Draw yourself, use pencils, markers, paint or anything you have around the house! Then write things that you like about yourself all around it. Once you have finished that hang it near your school space or your room to observe whenever you like. This is kindness to yourself!

We covered kindness to strangers, family/friends and yourself!

You don’t have to do just these activities either! Find other ways to spread kindness in your neighborhood with things in your home. Kindness matters, I hope you enjoyed reading this!
