Game Review: Red Dead Redemption 2

Back to the Wild, Ambitious, and Beautiful West

Hello everyone and Walter Reed Reviewers, welcome back and today we are reviewing Red Dead Redemption 2 and it is one of the best games this year. Let’s get started (No spoilers in the story.)

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a prequel where you play as Arthur Morgan, an outlaw on the run with a group called the Van Der Linde Gang who try to escape from the law and bounty hunters after a failed heist in Blackwater. The Van Der Linde Gang is full of interesting and memorable characters, and it is sad to see them die throughout the game and Red Dead Redemption 2 brings back characters from the first Red Dead, and it also brings back the protagonist of the first Red Dead, John Marston.

There is so much this game has, so many new things to offer, the deadly wildlife, the new groups of enemies, new characters, the honor system where your choices and what you do matter, the first person mode and the way that you take care of weapons, the camp, and your horse.

The world feels beautiful, fresh, staggering, and alive where you can encounter weird things and see so much and the graphics are gorgeous also. The gameplay feels great, the gunplay is amazing, and deadeye is as satisfying as ever, and the story is great but the only small problem is if you’re riding a horse in first person mode, it’s going to be rough to get by.

This is a perfect game by its characters, open world, gameplay, and especially its story and everything else you can see, it has proven to be one of the best games of 2018 up there with God of War and Spider-Man.
