This week I decided to interview some of Reed's the Eco agents! They have been looking for a way to spread the word about what their club does, so they contacted me. If you would like to learn more then keep on reading!
Q: What does your club do?
A: “Our club mission is to educate people about the bad things happening in our environment and improve it any way we can.”
Q: What sort of problems are you facing and trying to solve?
A: “Last year we made a petition to help get rid of straws that got 200 signatures. This year we are trying to raise awareness about how much single use plastic we use, so we are collecting single use plastic from around five classrooms.”
Q: How much plastic have you collected?
A: “We have a giant bundle of single use plastic, I think it is around 16 cubic feet, possibly more. If you want an example of how much single use plastic there is you can see it all around the school trash cans.”
Q: Are you planning on doing a petition this year to reduce the use of single use plastic?
A: “We have an option to do a petition this year but we haven’t set our sights on it yet.”
That is all! I think that the Eco agents have great motivation. Don’t forget to recycle and spread the word!
