There is a new project that will be for November to December called Canstruction! This event happens every year and the goal is to bring enough cans to create something amazing with your 1st period class. Students can bring a variety of canned foods to build something with other students, like canned tomatoes, corn, potatoes, pears, and so many other types of food! People will come in to judge all the great things students build, and the winner will be announced on Wednesday, December 12. Donations will be accepted until December 11. The winning class will get to have a free ice cream party! All kinds of canned food can be donated, and your class is encouraged to participate. There will be a big event in the morning on Friday, December 14 at Colfax Avenue to encourage others in the community to donate food to the local food pantry.

Nadya couldn’t wait. She was going all the way to Australia with her parents and her best friend, Charity, to see the Great Barrier Reef!...
