Science Fair

In the recent science fair, several students from Walter Reed Middle School participated and presented their experiments and findings. They competed against 950 other students for awards. Congratulations to Emily Berkowitz, Eugenie Kim, Irene Kim, Hannah Ju, Luc Jesuele, Nico Jesuele, Nicholas Lee, Jake Jung, Anthony Gerencher, Jack Naliboff, Owen Wheatley, Surya Patil, and Etan Kiang. All of them had creative experiments, insightful results, and had fantastic presentations.

Many of our students won awards for their projects. Jack Naliboff was awarded a scholarship and a special commendation from NACE (an international science organization). Owen Wheatley earned an Honorable Mention for his Behavioral Science Project. Nicholas Lee earned 3rd place in Engineering Application and also received a special award from the Professional Engineers in California Government. He will go on to compete in the California State Science Fair.
