With fantastic introductions to each new episode, a vibrant soundtrack, not to mention the well-developed story itself, The Umbrella Academy is one of the best T.V. shows I have seen in a long while!

The story starts off with a narrator explaining that Reginald Hargreeves, billionaire, adopts seven children born to women who were not pregnant when they awoke that morning. We go on to see a montage of where these children are at age 24, many years later. One lives on the moon, the second fighting bad guys™, the third posing for paparazzi, and the fourth getting out of rehab only to instantly overdose on drugs and get shocked back to life with a defibrillator. All of this happens over the rock violin cover of phantom of the opera. In short, it was off to a great start.

Unfortunately, the show has not yet confirmed a second season. But based on the very positive response from fans, it will most likely happen.

My grade: A-

(some major questions go unanswered. Frustrating, so give a minus.)

Nadya couldn’t wait. She was going all the way to Australia with her parents and her best friend, Charity, to see the Great Barrier Reef!...
